IT was a case of 'after the Lord Mayor's Show' for Conservative B who after last week's 'top drawer' victory over West Devon A in the Tavistock Snooker League.

Conservative B were made to fight off a spirited challenge from a lively West Devon D.

Missing the influential input from their absent skipper Hooper, West Devon went a frame down to a less than convincing show from Con B's star man Evans who overcame Shoulders.

West Devon bounced back with a solid potting frame from Shrimpton (junior) who was too strong for an 'out of sorts' Monk. May gave it his best for a good hour or so, before falling to a 'patient' performance from Con B's Ewings.

West Devon pulled the game all square again with a solid game form Murton who did enough to dislodge Cons B's Lillicrap. Once again though, not for the first time this season, it was Con B's McKechnie who was required to come to the rescue for his team, and he did not disappoint, proving too much of a handful for Decieco as he ran out comfortable winner.
