BOTH teams went into this fixture knowing that only a win would do if either side is going to beat the drop at the end of the season.
It was Lamerton who were the quicker off the mark, and the hosts took the lead in the fifth minute.
James Steer played a neat through ball from central midfield to Alex Mayne, who from ten yards fired the ball off the woodwork and into the net.
Steve Lake came close to doubling Lamerton's lead midway through the first half. But Lake's looping headed effort from a set piece hit the post and was cleared away to safety by the Biscovey defence.
The teams were reduced to ten men each after an off the ball altercation led to a pair of sending offs.
Biscovey came back on level terms just before half time when Tom Pickering broke through the Lamerton defensive line and rifled the ball in from ten yards.
Lamerton were guilty of starting slowly in the early stages of the second half, and were punished when the visitors took the lead in the 50th minute. An unmarked Biscovey striker Daley McErlian headed the ball home from an in-swinging free kick on the edge of the Lamerton box.
Going a goal behind seemed to spark Lamerton into life. The hosts began to dominate possession and territory in seach of an equaliser.
Lamerton equalised in the 65th minute when right wing Mike King played a pinpoint cross from the byline to Chris Wearing, who popped up to convert a fine headed effort which hit both posts before nestling into the net.
It looked as though the game was going fizzle out with both sides coming away with a point. However, In the last minute Lamerton midfielder James Steer broke down the right, through the Biscovey defence and past an onrushing Biscovey keeper. Steer then had the vision to deliver a superbly weighted cross to Alex Mayne who headed the ball into an open goal and secure three vital points for Lamerton.
