RENTAFFORD had a tough match against LOM on Wednesday evening. Both teams’ defences were in form.

Jodie Brent and Toni Dustan worked well together keeping the attacking pairing of LOM at bay.

Gemma Cole and Karen Channon worked well feeding Sophie Jury in the circle who was on form to make 5-4 to Ford in the first quarter.

In the second the game went goal for goal; Fiona Arundel picked up two loose balls which Jury converted as the quarter closed 10-9 to Ford.

Jury had a good quarter for Rentafford but luck was not on her side five shots in a row bounced out of the net. Brent and Dustan kept the gap to a minimum with some great intercepts for 11-15 to the LOM.

In the final quarter Rosannah Morel come on at GS for Rentafford adding some height in a tough circle. Strong holds from her helped Jury while Cole and Channon linked well feeding Morel.

Rentafford won the quarter 6-3 but it was not enough.
