WITH two defeats in as many games, Gunnislake were desperate to turn things around, so much so that manager Andy Brown opted for a 4-3-3 formation which resulted in resting striker Kieren Jasper.

It was a gamble that paid dividends as the home side romped to victory. A few minutes into the match a goal-bound header was handled and Darren Benfield put the home side ahead. It took Week 20 minutes to draw level with a well taken response after keeper Matt Ansell parried the first effort. Scott Paskins put Gunni ahead and Dean Southcott put the home side 3-1 up.

A mad few moments where Week scored a perfectly good goal only to see it disallowed was followed by one which was given where the striker looked yards offside.

The second half saw Paskins superbly score his second with only the crossbar denying his third.

Mike King's deflected effort made it 5-2 but the same player's short intercepted back pass led to the score being pulled back to 5-3.

Two goals by sub Jasper finished the game off in what was an entertaining afternoon.
