REMARKABLE running man Adam Holland has added more honours to his incredible list of athletic achievements — this time with a multi-marathon effort in Italy.
The Tavistock Athletic Club runner this week has retained his title of Champion of Lake Orta 10 in 10 for the third year in a row by completing ten marathons in ten consecutive days! He continued to demonstrate his incredible endurance after completing his epic 876 mile John o’Groats adventure back in April.
This time traveling to Italy to complete back to back marathons for ten days he achieved the feat with each marathon completed in spectacular times. He even managed to break the course record on day five in an astonishing 2 hours 36 minutes 39 seconds.
His ten consecutive marathons consisted of. Day 1 - 2.50.15; Day 2 - 3.23.04; Day 3 - 3.32.39; Day 4 - 3.03.26; Day 5 - 2.36.39; Day 6 - 2.53.23; Day 7 - 2.53.23; Day 8 - 3.08.42; Day 9 - 2.52.32 and Day 10- 3.07.50.
This feat now takes Adam to a total of 170 sub three hour marathons and a grand total of 441 marathons/ultras to date.
