Chagford v Kingsbridge
GARY Sizmur and Henry Gordon Lennox made a measured start against the Kingsbridge but after Henry Gordon Lennox was dismissed for 12 with the score at 38. Billy Searle and Sam Kirkness followed quickly to leave Chagford at 67-3.
However, skipper Del Lammonby then took centre stage with a quickfire 60 in a stand of of 93 with Sizmur.
Sizmur was dismissed for an excellent 64 at 160-4. Lammonby followed at 172 and with the tail failing to wag Chagford were all out for 209 in the last over. Neal Peach with 2-44 and Bhanu de Silva 3-52 bore the brunt of the bowling but it was Christopher Bowles who cleaned up the tail with 4-35 in 5.5 overs.
Kingsbidge's start was slow against the excellent Lammonby, and Dory (0), Wilmot (3), Etoe (9), Bowles (7) together with Hardy for a workmanlike 27 all out to leave Kingsbridge at 83-5.
Richard Carr, however, made batting look easy. He played some glorious shots all round the wicket to make batting easy in the wet conditions and together with Ashley Treeby (25) advanced the score to 131-6 when he fell for 43. Kingsbridge finished on 167-8
Lammonby was excellent with the ball with 3-25 and spinner Neil Rowlands, 3-24, were the main wicket takers in this drawn game.
Chagford 15 points, Kinsbridge 10 points.
