ONCE again manager Ian Southcott was forced to field a depleted Lambs' side at Poltair Park.

Play was fairly even in the first fifteen minutes, but it was the home side that opened the scoring in the 19th minute. A good move saw the ball find Danny Carne and his fine pass set Mike Body free, who blasted home from 15 yards.

The home team added a second six minutes later when Carne who was in fine form, who provided the pass that found Mark Gusterson unmarked six yards out, and the striker duly dispatched the ball into the net. The Lambs continued to try and make in roads into the home defence but they were unable to penetrate a well drilled home back four.

After the interval the visitors worked hard to try and get back into the game, but they failed to convert one or two good half chances.

Gusterson struck again in the 61st minute when Carne's ball into the penalty area hit a Lambs defender and kindly fell to the striker who lashed the ball into the back of the net.

In the 76th minute Gusterson completed his hat-trick following when a fine effort by Mike Body was well saved by Den Smith, but Gusterson was the quickest to react and latched onto the rebound to slot the ball home.

The Lambs never gave up and managed to get a consolation goal, after a good move saw veteran John Hajiyanni fired home.
