TAVISTOCK AFC are pleased to announce that they have appointed their reserve team management for the forthcoming season.
Having already promoted Stewart Cawte and Steve Cook from this season's reserve team management to run the first team with Stuart Henderson, it has, once again, 'promoted from within' for its new East Cornwall Premier Division management line-up.
Having both been at the club for just a season, reserve team's influential midfielder Kevin Kendall has taken up the manager's role, while coach Mark Blanks has been promoted to assistant manager for next season.
The appointments, confirmed club chairman Chris Fenner, are a positive reflection of how much of an impact the pair have both had during their short time with the club.
Chris told the Times: 'With a focus on maintaining a settled and successful squad, whilst supporting the newly-promoted first team, the popular pairing of Kev and Mark has hit the ground running and they are busy preparing for the pre-season and have even started working on sponsorship deals to ensure that their team continues to look the part both on and off the pitch.
'Given how well Kevin, Mark, Stewart and Steve worked together last season, we are optimistic that our new management teams will continue the club's renaissance, having put a couple of difficult years behind us with so much success this past season. With all management appoint-ments now made, all at Tavistock AFC are looking forward to a well-deserved summer break before challenging for more silverware in 2015/16.'
