YELVERTON Golf Club, ladies' section, August results — Thursday, August 2, Ladies' Captain's Day: Teresa Holt, the ladies' captain, chose a format of full handicap Stableford with the ladies buying a 'Mulligan' for a £1 to be donated towards the ladies' captain's charity.

This was a fun competition with the added benefit of being able to take the Mulligan anywhere on the course.

The winner was Mair Preston-Jones on 34 points; 2, Sarah Gard, 33 points (back 9); 3,    Carolyn Crawford, 33 points.

The ladies attended a dinner in the evening at the club. Raffle tickets for fabulous prizes and the donations for the Mulligans raised more than £190 for Teresa's charity.

Thursday, August 9, Stableford and Norton Rose Bowl: Div 1, Winner, Di Reardon, 39 points; runner-up, Mair Preston-Jones, 37 points.

Division two winner, Teresa Holt, 35 points, runner-up: Ray Bovingdon, 33 points.

The Norton Rose Bowl was presented in 1964 by Miss L S  Norton LC 1964. It is a stableford competition for veterans aged 55 and over and is always played in conjunction with the August Stableford competition.

Thursday, August 16, August medal, division one: Winner, Barbara Collier, net 81(back 9); runner-up, Di Reardon, net 81.

Division two winner, Sue Rumbold, net 73; runner- up, Carolyn Crawford  net 77.
