THE Yelverton Golf Club ladies played their March Stableford competition in aid of Dame Hannah Rogers charity. Players made donations to this charity which supports children and adults with learning difficulties.

Margaret Flanagan won the silver section with 34 points and the bronze winner was Joan Voisin with 36pts.

The overall winner was Joan Voisin.

The trophy was presented to the ladies' section in 1990 by former captains, Trudi Luke and Sheila MacFarlane. Trudi Luke was elected a vice-president of Yelverton golf club at the annual meeting held this week.

The friendly rivalry between the ladies and the veterans is tested every spring and autumn. The ladies played valiantly in the spring match play competition but lost to the vets by 3 ½ to 2 ½.
