KELLY College had eight girls competing in the 800m freestyle and five boys in the 1500m freestyle at the ASA South West region time trials which doubled up as the Devon County Long Distance Championships for 2013 held at the Life Centre, Plymouth on Saturday.
Kelly swimmers Nathan Linden, Tom Brew, and Taku Chaza, swept the board in the boys 12 year old 1500m Devon Championships, taking all three medals. They also placed first, second and fifth in the South West Region Time Trials.
Kelly swimmers won five gold, two silver and three bronze medals with nine personal bests.
Gold medal winners in the DCASA Championships were: Nathan Linden (12), Georgia Martin (12), Cara Layden (13), Leah Picillo (15) and Polly White (16 and over; silver: Thomas Brew (12) and Jemma Layden (13); bronze: Taku Chaza (12), Mille Murdoch (14) and Matthew Courtis (16 and over).
Personal bests: Nathan Linden, Thomas Brew, Taku Chaza, Guy Purbrick, Georgia Martin, Caitlin McCabe, Jemma Layden, Victoria Moore and Leah Picillo.
Georgia Martin won gold in the girls' 800m 12 year-old Devon Cham-pionships and was third in the time trials.
Cara Layden took the gold in the 13 years age group with twin sister Jemma close behind in second and second and third respectively in regional time trials.
Leah Picillo and Polly White both won the Devon Championships in their respective age group and also placed first in the regional time trials.
This weekend Kelly College swimmers are taking part in the Zonal Championships (South of England) at Crawley.

Some of these early season results indicate the fitness and commitment being made and I am sure will transpire into a fantastic season for Kelly swimming.'
