KELLY Performance Swimming attended the ASASWR Youth Championship last weekend at the Plymouth Life Centre. The team finished with a total of 26 medals, six new national qualifying times and seven new Kelly College age group records. National qualifying times were achieved by Emily Cutler (2), Steph Reynolds (2), Christy Gold and Donovan McAntagart. Five of the Kelly relay teams also qualified for the National Youth Championships to be held in August. Emily Cutler claimed the most individual medals with a total of six — in the 100m freestyle and 100m backstroke with silvers in the 50m backstroke, 200m backstroke, 50m freestyle and 400m individual medley. Captain Steph Reynolds claimed five medals - gold in the 200m butterfly, 200m backstroke and 400m individual medley and silver in the 200m IM and 100m backstroke. Chloe Barrow collected gold in the 100m butterfly, silver in the 50m butterfly and bronzes in the 200m butterfly and 400m individual medley. Milly Furneaux took three bronzes in all the breaststroke events, setting Kelly College records in all three events. Leah Picillo won silver in the 400m individual medley and 200m freestyle and Christy Gold a bronze in the 50m freestyle. In the boys' events, Tom McLagan earned bronze in both the 200m and 400m individual medley, Finn Linton took bronze in the 400m individual medley and William Luckham-Down claimed bronze in the 100m breaststroke. In the men's 4 x 200m freestyle relay team of Harry Hathaway, Louis Gautier, Tom McLagan and David Colley all swam long course personal bests to finish third.
