THERE were 59 teams taking part in in the largest competition for primary aged children in the country at UCP Marjons in Plymouth but only one winner.

Kelly College Prep School had two teams competing A and B.

The B team came second  in their group and the A team coming top in theirs without conceding a goal.

Both Kelly teams went into the cup competition.

The B team consisting of Jacob Staig, George Kharas, George Bowles, Carys Twyman, Madeleine Knight, Oliver Allsop and Abbie Gold, narrowly lost to Blackpool School and where knocked out.

The A Team of Jonathon Hawley, Lachlan Fulton, Sam Gray, Jack Bellamy, Elizabeth Clinton, Natasha Farrington, Izzy Dunlop and Flora Germon went on to beat some good teams. Kelly A met beat Mount House 3-0 in the semi final and Old Priory 1-0 in the final.

The children gained so much from the experience of playing and the festival atmosphere made it a fantastic day for all.
