ELEVEN Kelly College pupils who had been selected for the West Devon area team competed in the Devon Schools' Cross Country Championships at Exeter Arena.

They were competing against athletes from all areas of Devon and all had excellent races. The highlight was Sian Temple achieving a close second place in the U13s girls' race.

The full team was; Flora Ramsden, Jemma Layden, Sian Temple, Mateo Pearce, Oakley Carnell, Jordan Channon, Megan Benton, Lauren Dawe, Ellen Riis-White, Josh Carnell and Christian Brown competed across a range of junior and senior events.

Sian, Mateo, Ellen and Josh have all now been selected to compete in the South West Schools' Schools on Saturday while Christian Brown and Jordan Channon, are both reserve for the team.

Oakley and Josh Carnell also represented Cornwall at the recent Inter-Counties Cross Country race held at Bicton earlier this month and Jordan Channon raced for Devon at this event.
