IN the ladies Okehampton Netball League the Jets beat Jammie Dodgers 47-29.

Jets started strongly and were leading by 10 goals at the end of the first quarter.

Jammie Dodgers rose to the challenge however, with a slightly depleted team and having to make some team changes they were struggling to settle which Jets took advantage of. Ruth Pemberthy, shooting for Jets, could not miss and despite some great defending from Jammie Dodgers they could not stop the goals going in.

After another team change Jammies did find their form in the last quarter, however they had left it too late and could not close the gap.

Starburst beat Sparks 38-35. Sparks are having a good season and they started this match well against the young Starburst team.

In the second quarter Sparks increased their lead and it looked as though this would be another win. In the third however, Starburst put on the pressure and levelled the score with the goals then going with centres. Sparks were leading by just one goal at the start of the fourth but Starburst had them on the back foot and continued to pressurise Sparks into making some costly errors. A steady and sure performance from Starburst saw them creep ahead to win the match by three goals.
