THERE was outstanding work in the field from Postbridge farmer Jed Watson at the Devon and Exmoor sheepdog trials held at Borough Farm, Mortehoe in North Devon on June 23,

Thirty seven dogs took part.

Mr Watson won with his dog Sweep with 89pts and also took second place with Jake on 80. Third was Richard Smith of Chipping Norton with Dan 80,

Mr Watson also team up with Mirk on 75pts to take fifth place.

The day before at the Ralegh's Cross Trial Bob Watson with his dog Glen on 48pts and Mirk, 39pts were first and second in the novice mixed.

n THE DEVON and Exmoor Sheepdog Society held the Ashwater trial at Sanduck Cross Farm, Lustleigh, Newton Abbot on Saturday.
