IT is going to be a star-studded line-up at Oaklands on Saturday, May 18 for Okehampton Rugby Club's President's Festival of rugby and fundraising.
Former Okes' player Julian White, who came through the junior ranks at the club before establishing his rugby career at Leicester and England heads the Presidents team.
The team also includes former internationals, Dave Simms and Paul Sampson (England) and Leigh Barry Davies (Wales). It also boasts a number of players with Barbarian and Premiership experience - Lee and Chris Fortey, Kevin Dunn, Paul and Dave Knight. Former Plymouth Albion and Royal Navy player Dan Parkes along with Bob Armstrong Bristol, Exeter Chiefs and the Royal Navy make up some of the servicemen in the team.

The event will be raising money for the club and the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund with several Royal Marines turning out for club president Rob Ewen's side against the Okehampton first XV at 3.30pm.
Rob Ewen is himself a Royal Marine and is keen to raise money to for those families that have lost loved ones and those that have suffered life changing injuries on recent operations in Afghanistan.
It is promising to be a great day for the club with bar and food available, an Oke Colts v North Devon Barbarians, a display of junior rugby from the U12s before the big game between the President's XV v Oke XV at 3.30pm.
All this to be followed by a buffet dinner at 6.30pm.
