AN overcast and misty start gave way to a perfect day for Kelly College's annual sports day.

There were a number of personal bests achieved, as well as two pupils breaking current school records. Chris Chapman achieved a new record of 4m 70cm in the inter house long jump, while Selina Kisby demolished the previous school record for javelin by over 8m, throwing an impressive 32.85m.

The competition hotted up as pupils prepared for the final inter-house relay races, with the overall results of the day being Russell House winning the girls' competition and Courtenay winning the boys'.
