Devon and Exeter three

South Zeal United 5

Offwell 2

SOUTH Zeal never really got going in the first half but took the lead after 20 minutes when Nick Pollard's superb free kick was headed home by Tom Reilly.

Offwell equalised 10 minutes later when a cross from the right fell to one of their forwards who hit a great shot past Oliver Holman in the Zeal goal. It stayed 1-1 to half-time.

South Zeal improved in the second half and after a few near misses from Darren Gilbert they took the lead again when Scott Hooper converted a cross from the right. Harley Cann put the home side 3-1 up when he outstripped the Offwell defense and chipped the ball past the keeper from close range.

It was now all Zeal as Scott Hooper got his second to make the score 4-1, Offwell replied with 10 minutes left but Darren Gilbert restored South Zeal's three goal advantage after latching onto a great pass from Ben Davey and sliding his shot past the Offwell keeper and into the net.

n This week South Zeal are away to Tedburn St Mary, kick-off 3pm.
