OKEHAMPTON Ladies Netball League started again this week after the summer break with some close games across all divisions. In division one FBI played Hawks Tor in what became a competitive and nail-biting finish. FBI started the match extremely well and were leading after the first quarter by 9 goals. Hawks seemed to be struggling to find their form and FBI had increased their lead to 13 goals at half time. Hawks made a couple of changes and began to pull back and had decreased the deficit to eight goals going into the last quarter. With all to play for FBI dug in and despite some great attacking play from Hawks, managed to hold on to their lead to win by 4 goals. Final score: FBI 49, Hawks Tor 45.

In the second division Jammie Dodgers showed that although dropping down to the second division they were still a team to be reckoned with. Jammie Dodgers started very strongly with Bradford Belles struggling to find their form and found themselves trailing by 12 goals at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter, Belles started to fight back and in what turned out to be their best quarter managed to score 9 goals.

Jammie Dodgers continued to pile on the pressure and despite a late rally from Belles, Jammie Dodgers never looked like they were in trouble and won the match comfortably 49 goals to 20.
