THE first race of the 2013/14 Duchy College Primary School Cross-Country League took place last week.

The 92 runners represented Coads Green, Launceston, Stoke Climsland and Tregadillett schools. The children from Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 competed in a demanding one and two mile course at the Stoke Climsland campus. The event was the first run in the four-race league, with individual runners collecting points for individual medals as well as the overall School Cross Country League trophy. The winner of the two mile cross country event was Stoke Climsland School's Harry Harvey.
