WEST Devon B came knocking on Consevative B's door in the Tavistock Snooker League and if they expected a trick they were pleased to come away with a treat in shape of their first win of the season.

Things started off with Con B's Ewings posting his first win of the season over Smith only for a sharp retort from West Devon B as Roger Rich hit a good black to edge out Dolan.

A scary spell of potting from Bath was too much for Con B's Monk to come back from as he took West Devon B in front again. It was all level again as McKechnie blunted the spell of 'Welsh wizard' Gilchrist as he ghosted past him in a comfortable frame for the Con Bs. The treat was dished out with John Rich overcoming a lacklustre Evans to win it for West Devon.

West Devon A completed a 4-1 win over West Devon C. Hooper put up a commendable performance in his first ever league game before falling to A team's Rich.

Emptage had a comfortable win over Billy Elliott to put the West Devon A team two up. It was 3-0 when Hall, with his first win of the season, beat Williams. Even the normal safe hands of Hodge could not prevent WD A stretching their lead as Colin Heathman prevailed.

The consolation win for the C team came from Shrimpton with a good win over Rob Heathman.
