THE Tavistock Community Football Club U16s team have enjoyed a highly successful season in the Devon Junior and Minor League Howe division, finishing top of the table by five points, having only been beaten once in the league.

They were also joint winners of the Howe Knockout Cup and won the Son Rise Cup for their age group.

Ten of the team have been playing football for Tavistock together since they were eight years old and have progressed up the age groups together, with other new players joining and strengthening the squad throughout that time.

This season saw the culmination of a lot of hard work, with a team playing a great blend of positive passing football and having a bit of luck along the way!

Other TCFC teams also had success last year, with both the U15s and U11s reaching their respective knockout cup finals.
