THIRTEEN Lamerton Pony Club members travelled to the South Devon Moorland annual tetrathlon competition and all earned first team in their classes.

The competition was held over a weekend with the shooting, running and swimming phases took place on the Saturday at Stover School. Katy Miles took best shoot and best swim in class one and Heidi Littlejohn was best shoot in class two with many Lamerton entrants achieving personal bests.

On the Sunday the girls went to Holwell Lawn, near Hound Tor for the riding phase. Despite the inclement weather all the girls rode well over some tricky cross country courses.

Katy Miles had best ride in the novice assisted, under two feet class; Heidi Littlejohn, Katrina Henwood, and Freya Jones all took best ride in novice mini 2ft course. Lucy Steven and Lizzie Langton achieved best ride in the mini girls riding over the 2ft 6ins course. In the intermediate girls Yasmin Steven had a superb ride over the testing 3'3 course, jumping clear with just a few time faults — the first time she had competed at this height.
