KELLY College sent 17 swimmers to compete at the Plymouth Leander Non National Qualifiers Open Meet held at the New Life Centre, Plymouth.

Kelly swimmers did extremely well and won the top visiting club award and along the way they won the top boy award for Jack Pearson (14), 15 gold medals, 15 silver medals, 14 bronze medals. five Kelly age group recordsand 75 personal best times (PBs).

Jack Pearson won six gold medals, two silver and two bronze, recording plenty of PBs.

Cara Layden (12) only competed on one day, but went home with three gold and one silver medal. Cara also broke Kelly age group records in the 200m backstroke in 2.32.97 and the 200m IM in 2.39.02.

Jemma Layden (12), Cara's twin, was also in top form with 10 PBs. Jemma took two gold, three silver and a bronze medal, setting a new Kelly age group record for the 50m freestyle in 29.78.

Nathan Linden (12) set PBs in five events, and won two gold, and a silver medal.

Toby Stanyer (14) had a really great meet, setting PBs in all his events and winning gold in the 100m backstroke in a time of 1.07.35, more than six seconds faster than his former PB.

Toby also won a silver and bronze medal in the 200m backstroke and 200m individual medley.

Leah Picillo (14) only competed in two events but won the 200m breaststroke and was second in the 200m backstroke.

Millie Murdoch(13) broke two Kelly age group records at the meet, the 50m backstroke 34.34 and the 200m backstroke 2.34.15.

Other medallists were: Thomas Brew, David Colley, Felix Davies, Christy Gold, Thomas Harrison, Sophie Hastings, Victoria Moore, Brittaney O'Reilly.
