GET on down to the recreation field in Horrabridge this month to cheer on players in the Horrabridge Rangers SA Under 12s charity Football Tournament. The event has been organised by the U12s team coach Jerry Lyden to raise funds for CLIC Sargent in memory of former under 12s member Daniel Bruce, from Dousland, who died after suffering with leukaemia at the age of 10. The tournament will run alongside a fun day on Saturday, June 14, starting at 10.30am boasting a 'Beat the goalie' game, barbecue, refreshments, bric-a-brac, a cake stall, candy floss and a bouncy castle at Horrabridge Fillace Park Recreation Field. There will also be a raffle on the day, prizes for which have been donated by local businesses, including vouchers from the Walkhampton Inn, Rock Inn, East Gate Café, Yelverton Co-op, Bidders, Pennywell Farm, a Sunday lunch for two at the Moorland Garden Hotel, Flowers Going Green and a cream tea at the Two Bridges Hotel.
