IT was a wonderful sunny day at Yelverton Golf club for lady members playing the June Stableford and The Grandmothers' Cup.

A strong wind made for some tricky conditions on the course, but not for all!

 Liz Lyndon and Annie Hosken managed to play some superb golf and become clear contenders for the Grandmothers' Cup.

Liz won the cup two points ahead of Annie who was the runner up.

The division one winner was Liz Lyndon on 43 points, runner up Caroline Theyer 37 points. In division two the winner was Annie Hosken on 41pts and runner up Sheila Lang on 36pts.

The Grandmothers' Cup is a beautiful crystal vase which was presented to the ladies section in 2000 by Mrs L Alderman, Mrs Trudi Luke (lady captain in 1988) and Mrs S Macfarlane (lady captain in 1985).
