ON Saturday North Tawton Bowling Club's new president, Paul Andrews, gave members his first President's Day and a splendid day it proved to be.

In good weather the president's men took on the captain's men organised by John Kinsey in a good humoured contest.

At tea the the president thanked all the members for their support, also the captains of the various men's and ladies' sides for organising the playing of all the games in the club's full fixture list and the committee for their work in steering the club into its present position.

Special praise went to secretary Gordon Denham and his wife Margaret.
