HURDWICK Golf Club’s Hurdwick 100 (Stableford Version) took place over two days. A dual competition combined to determine the overall champion. The weather on Monday was kinder than the Sunday and this was reflected in the overall scoring. The three main contenders battled for the top placings on both days but Mark Gardiner’s superior experience eventually prevailed.
In first was Mark Gardiner on 80 points with scores of 40 and 40, handicap five. Second was Barry Williams on 78 points with 41 and 37, handicap 12. Third was Pauline Allen on 76 points with 40 and 36, handicap 35.
The popularity of Hurdwick’s 36 hole competitions is growing rapidly so additional two day events will be introduced in 2016.
