EACH year at Yelverton Golf Club past lady captains have played a 13 hole competition followed by a meal.

This year it was decided to introduce a different format worthy of a new trophy.

The ladies played an 18 hole Stableford competition  followed by an afternoon tea and a presentation.

The trophy is a beautiful sparrowhawk which members have named The Haytown Bird. It is in memory of one of their much loved members and past president Mrs June Smalley who died last year.

The winner was Di Reardon with 36 points, with Pat Taylor, runner up, on 34pts.
