YELVERTON Golf Club’s annual presentation took place on November 15 with 90 plus members in attendance.

General manager Colin Nolan invited club captain Bryan Gullick to deliver his welcoming speech. He captured the essence of a club on the move, with special mention to it’s many volunteers and the hard work continually being shown by it’s staff.

He thanked Sarah George and Matt Cooper for their contribution to the annual presentation.

Bryan praised the up and coming junior section and the efforts being made by the club professional, Adam Frayne and his team of junior volunteers. In the YGC junior section awards with parents’ support a family atmosphere was created.

Assistant manager Sarah George said: ‘The sheer joy on the faces on these “young pretenders” set the tone for the night.’

The club gave credit to Adam, Lauren Chapman, Gary Hulbert and lady vice captain Jane Hulbert for their tireless efforts on behalf of junior section.

Trophies were duly presented by club captain Bryan Guillick and lady captain Sue Guillick. A squad of 15 players from the club collected the Dartmoor League division three trophy. The club’s lady golfers were acknowledged wholeheartedly with a vibrant ladies’ section. The evening’s celebrations were concluded in the crowning of this years club champion, Ryan Acres. Ryan successfully defended the title that he earned in 2018.
