TAVISTOCK Golf Club ladies had a mixed bag of weather for their monthly Stableford.  Played in conjunction with the Caddies Trophy 50 ladies braved the elements. 

First in division one was Sarah Hanson on 35 points on count back from Bridget Luckham; third was Nicky Gawman 34pts. Top of division two was Kate Butler with 37pts, second Gloria Westhead 35pts and in third place Jenny Kay, 33pts. 

In division three Janet Kiely scored an excellent 41 pts to take the trophy - which was great play in difficult weather conditions.  Second in division three was Pat Taylor on 27pts and third Elizabeth Holmes, 25pts.

In the Winter Stable-ford, organised by club professional Glenn Richards, Timothy Caulfield was first in division one with 35pts; second, Brian Wright 33pts on countback from Will Caulfield. 

First in division two was Nick Turner on 42pts, second Paul Hobbs on 40pts and third Andy Down, 38pts. 

With 39pts Ray Barnes was first in division three; second was Danvers Hough on 34pts on count back from Michael King.

In the mixed team event against Staddon Heights —played in a howling gale —Tavistock took the honours with a win of five and a half to four a half.

In the Dartmoor Link Challenge held at Tavistock home player Tom Dodd won the best individual score with 36pts.
