GOLF B secured their first ever Tavistock Snooker league win. taking full advantage of a four man West Devon B to run out 3-2 winners.

Golf B’s hero’s on the night were the senior duo of Ian Appleton and Paul Congo. With a couple of recent close games this win for Golf B was always on the cards.

At the top end of the table, Tavy A were on the receiving end of only their second loss of the season as Conservative A completed a double over the league leaders. Carruthers, Evans (senior) and Wiles were the men that secured the frames for victory to Conservative A, keeping alive their outside chance of retaining their title.

West Devon A continued their strong run in as they leapfrogged Tavy A to top spot with a resounding 5-0 win over West Devon C. Man of the match Kevin Rich with a potting frenzy, racked up consecutive 36 and 30 breaks in the same frame. Morris and Brookes also chipped in with 20 plus breaks.

Conserative B had a good trip to West Devon D, coming away with a 4-1 win. Ewings, Moloney, Neale and Lillicrap doing the damage for the Con Bs with in-form Ward the only West Devon D man to trouble the score card.

Golf A made it club double win on the night with a useful 4-1 win over the ‘up and down’ Conservative C.

Ruth (junior) (20), Pope, Turnbull (25) and Whitley secured the four points for Golf A, with Clive Jago getting his name on the score sheet for the Con A for the first time.
