BERE had the lion's share of this game and lost because they wanted to score the perfect goal and would not pull the trigger. Launceston took the lead when a centre hit with the outside of the boot swerved and crept in at the near post.

Launceston increased this 15 minutes later when the ball was lost in the sun and after it was touched on for a toe punt over Bere's keeper.

Ewan McCall hit a rasper for Bere, only for Launceston's keeper to save it.

Bere completely dominated the second half with brilliant defending and poor last balls kept Bere at bay.

All the effort and endeavour did not change this, and the sucker punch came with four minutes to go. A harsh free kick was headed across the box and three Launceston players left unmarked helped the ball home.
