IN the Okehampton Cycle Club Time Trial on May 6, the club's first 10 mile time trial of the season, there was an entry field of 13 riders. Starting on the old A30 at Bridestowe, the cool and blustery conditions were not ideal, but it was dry. Gavin MacDougall recorded a superb time, and a personal best (PB) of 24 minutes 58 seconds, followed closely by Lee Adams with 25.01, another PB. Fifteen year old Harry Bryant knocked over six minutes off his previous best time of last year to record 32.00. Creditable times were achieved by Jill Kershaw, Cordelier Price, and Tracey Bryant, all riding the course for the first time. First Okehampton rider was Don Armstrong, still recovering from his recent Land's End to John O'Groats ride.
