VILLA started on the back foot and for the opening 15 minutes lacked any real composure on the ball, falling behind to a goal that owed more to defensive errors than attacking flair.

However, when they found their composure, Yelverton dominated the game.

Villa's incisive football started to cut Harvey's apart and they had their goalkeeper to thank making fine saves from Lloyd Pomfret and Dave Harvey, and tipping a 30 yard screamer from Jonny Leppett onto the crossbar.

The Yelverton breakthrough came after 20 minutes, when Leppett's mazy run saw him get behind the Harvey's defence, before pulling the ball back to Ben Maughan to slot home.

Two minutes later Villa took the lead when Harwood was pushed in the penalty area, and it was Harwood who smashed home the spot kick.

The pace of Pomfret and Harwood terrorised the Harvey's defence and Pomfret capitalised with two goals in quick succession, but Harvey's were given a lifeline when Colin Murray headed a corner into his own net on the stroke of halftime.

Early in the second half Yelverton Murray's 40 yard pass was pounced on by Harwood to score his second and Villa's fifth.

The sixth came from Steve Harwood's deep corner which cleared Adam Measom's head, but the ball was neatly controlled and driven into the roof of the net by Leppett.

Villa wrapped up the game with a goal from Matt Bird before Harvey's were handed a consolation goal from the penalty spot.
