THE West Devon trials for the Devon Games to Inspire have been organised. The Devon Games to Inspire is a festival-style sporting extravaganza aimed at children aged eight to 18. It brings together more than 1,000 young people from across Devon, competing against the other districts and winning points for their team. Each region must hold an open trial for each sport, as well as supply training to the team, enabling them to bond before representing their area at the games. The whole process, through the trial, training sessions and transport to the games is entirely free to participants. This year's sports are aquathlon, badminton, Boccia, girls cricket, gymnastics, high-5, hockey, girls netball, girls rugby, table tennis, tennis and volleyball.
