OKEHAMPTON Tennis Club held their annual mixed doubles tournament, playing for the Ikoyi Cup on Sunday.

Sixteen players took part in an American style tournament where players played four games with their partner and four games with their opposing partner.

Following the round robin stage, the final was played between Jackie Jarvis and Peter Lohr and Dan Howell and Elizabeth Jeffery. 

The final consisted of one set with a tie-break at 6-6. This proved to be an excellent match with quality tennis being played by all.

After a close match with a lot of long rallies, it eventually went to a tie-break. Throughout the match Dan was putting the ball away superbly and this continued into the tie-break where he and his partner Elizabeth became the eventual winners.
