IT was a great performance at the Devon Youth Games in Paignton by Team West Devon.
They had 16 teams and 150 young people aged 6-16 years-old, competing in badminton, indoor athletics, football, street ports, triathlon, mixed tag rugby, girls’ rugby, gymnastics, cricket, hockey (boys and girls), high five netball and netball.
A great year with the team put together by sports charity OCRA and a whole range of local clubs and groups with the support of West Devon Borough Council.
The team thanked 1 Life, Tavistock Community Sports Centre and OCRA for their support of free facilities for the training and trials before the event and most importantly to local coaches and clubs who got the teams together
West Devon came third overall with golds in street sports, triathlon, girls’ rugby and street sports .
