TAVISTOCK Athletics Club members ran in the Plymouth Half Marathon on Sunday with some great personal successes.  Fourteen TACs took part and for several it was their first race as a club member, and indeed for some it was their first half marathon.   The First TAC home was the superb Pete Bazley with a fast time of 1 hour 36 minutes and 9 seconds, placing him second in his age category of M55. Other notable performances came from Duncan Williams who ran a superb personal best of 1.44:32; Donna Stacey and Lisa Base, both running their first half, in 2.01.48 and 2.07.49 respectively. All the TACs ran a great race and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere. They thanked coach Tony Shearer who had been leading long Sunday runs, come wind, rain, hail or shine since January in the run up to the Tavy 13 and Plymouth Half.
