TAVISTOCK Football Club first team, the Lambs, are looking forward for a crack at the league title in the Carlsberg South West premier league in the new 2016/17.

All of last season’s squad have agreed terms to stay at the Lambs and push on for a title campaign.

Squad: goalkeeper, Jack Ord; full backs, Ben Cross and Josh Robins; centre backs, Dan Evans and Lewis Dawe; midfielders, Warren Dawe, Dave Hallett, Ricky Sheppard and Dan Follett; forwards, Jack Crago, Lewis Coombes, Glyn Hobbs and Kelvin Fyneboy.

To compliment a squad which had the best record in the SWPL in 2016 — the signing of arguably one of the league’s best central midfielders Shane Krac joins a talented Lambs squad who hope to go better than last seasons third place finish. Tavistock have also a number of unnamed trialists who are joining them during pre season

Manager Stuart Henderson said: ‘I am delighted that the squad from last season has remained loyal and committed to the Lambs — despite receiving better financial offers from other clubs within our league. I feel that the lads have a special bond which has kept them all together and as a group are keen to develop and challenge for honours. They also appreciate the set up at Langsford Park is the best in the league and enjoy playing their football in such an impressive venue.’
