THE Tavistock Specials played hosts to the Devon Ability Counts Football League at Tavistock College at the weekend.

With 42 teams and 500 people involved it was a lively event which went down well with teams and spectators alike.

As well as the Tavistock Specials, they were sides from Plymouth, Barnstaple, Bideford, Exeter, Torquay, Exmouth and Teignmouth.

Allen Lewis, one of the organisers, said: ‘It went really well. A big thank you to all involved and a special mention to the Tavistock Lions.’
