THE Tavistock Specials FC team hit gold when they won the Plymouth and District Special Olympics South West Tournament played at the Manadon sporting facility in Plymouth.

The new facility, which is expected to support 30,000 people taking part in physical activity each year, includes a floodlit 3G artificial grass pitch. It was officially opened by former England goalkeeper and Plymouth Argyle manager Peter Shilton.

Harry Barlow, Jake Ridholls scored some great goals for Devon Mixed Ability League Two champions Tavistock Specials in the tournament to help their side to victory.
