JODIE Brent for Rentafford got straight in at an Almega attack and made the intercept, which she fed to Karen Channon at GA and GS Sophie Jury put it away.

A reverse hand from Toni Dustan saw another intercept but this time the shooters could not convert. The tall defence of Almega kept Jury on her toes working for the ball. At the end of the first quarter it was 4-0 to Rentafford.

In the second Gemma Cramp made a great tip and player of the match Fiona Arundel picked the loose ball up.

Brent and Dustan were getting many tips and putting a lot of presuure on the Almega attack, forcing them into errors. Young Jordan Tillyer linked well with Brent, Arundel and Channon to bring the ball down court. By the end of the third it was 8-1 to Rentafford.

Channon for Ford fought for the intercept but could not keep the ball under control. A pick up from Tillyer fed to Channon on the edge of the circle, who neatly found the net. Channon sank three from distance and now had her eye in and at the end of the third it was 18-2 to Rentafford.

Dustan came out and played at centre with Cole going in at GK. Almega had a better quarter and scored first although Jury managed to get her first rebound of the match against the tall defence.
