OKEHAMPTON Argyle conceded five goals on their way to the latest defeat in the South West Peninsula League Premier East.

They travelled to face Newton Abbot Spurs, who themselves aren’t having the best of seasons, at The Rec on Saturday, October 31.

After a pair of disallowed goals, Spurs finally went ahead, courtesy of Jesse Howe.

Stevie Cole and Jordan Hogan then notched after the break to put the hosts firmly in the driving seat before they then had Jacob Pickavant sent off for abusive language.

Davey Wilding and Ciaran Payne found the net for Argyle either side of a Sam Hancox goal for the hosts, taking the score to 4-2 late on.

Howe then put the game to bed with his second of the afternoon, leaving Okehampton at the foot of the table for at least another week.

Argyle welcome high-flyers Elburton Villa to Simmons Park on Saturday, November 7.
