HORRABRIDGE Rangers have won promotion and been crowned champions of the Plymouth and West Devon football league third division, at the first time of asking. After a three year absence from the Saturday leagues, Horrabridge Rangers returned to the fourth tier of P&D football and proceeded to go through the whole leaguecampaign unbeaten.
Manager Alan Lillicrap and assistant Mark Smith had a solid squad with a mixture of bright young talents in Brydon Conradie, Reece Johnson and Sam Pennell as well as the older heads of Paul Gliddon, Dave Gibbings, Steve Gibbings and retiring Wayne Shailer. They complemented the Horrabridge stalwarts of Jack Northam and captain Dan Bailey early on, as did Royal Marines Jordan Smith, Aiden Redmile, John Wiseman and Fraser Bricknell. Aiden Redmile ended the season on 17 goals while youngster Reece Johnson was constant in the team playing in all fixtures.
Horrabridge finished the season with a record of P16 D2 L0 Pts 38.
