THIS game was not as easy for second place Callington (pictured in the red shirts) as the score suggests against a stubborn fourth from bottom side St Blazey.

The hosts found themselves 0-1 down from a Ben Thomas penalty but goals from Jay Martin, Liam Gatcum and Jarryd Kelly gave Callington a 3-1 lead at the interval.

The visitors’ cause was not helped by an injury to their goalkeeper Owen, who had to be replaced. Callington went in for the kill as Martin extended the lead. Much to their credit St Blazey were not beaten yet and pulled one back through Dan Carr.

Callington moved up a gear and a brace from Dan Ashman finished off the game and remain comfortably in second place in the league but still way behind leaders Torpoint.
