A GATHERING at Meadowlands Leisure Centre, Tavistock Swimming Club expressed appreciation for the vast amount of work that five retiring committee members have contributed to the club over many years.

Club chairman Paul Johnson presented Esther and Trevor Rookes, Ian Noakes, Sandra Kinnest and retiring vice president Sheila Radgick with gifts in recognition of their long service, loyalty and expertise in many fields of management, at club level and beyond and also in the wider field of officiating at gala events.

Paul described their outstanding levels of commitment to their various voluntary roles, confirming that community clubs such as TSC could not possibly function without the selfless input of such valued committee members.
