CONSERVATIVE B surged up to joint second in the Tavistock Snooker League table as they pillaged a maximum five off Conservative C. This was the third game in a row that Con C have lost by 5-0 and some of side's early season glories seem but just a distant memory now.

Jago tried in vain to hold Ewings from the B team in a high scoring frame peppered with foul shots along with some free flowing potting from the latter. A close game ensued next as Con C's Neale took Monk down to the wire with Monk needing the black to pinch the frame for Con B. McKechnie made it three for the B team as he beat Wilkinson, backed up by Lillicrap who saw Roffey come back at him before potting the black to sneak it. Weldon put up a good show for a while shocking Con B team's skipper Evans with a lovely 20 break. That was as good as it got, though, for Weldon as Evans controlled the frame from there on, winning in comfortable style.

Conservative C team will be kicking themselves for letting at least two winnable frames escape them.

It was a poor display from the Conservative Z team against West Devon C. Pinkney for WD C was in fine fettle, rarely missing an opportunity to keep McKechnie away from the table, finally racking up a 70-22 score line. Williams likewise kept Jankowski at bay with some superb potting, giving West Devon C a 2-0 lead.

Dodd for Con Z gave his teammates a glimmer of hope with a tight win against Grigg, but Symons failed to intimidate the experienced Hodge who saw off his opponent with little trouble.

It was all down to Flack to regain some credibility for his team but despite his best efforts and some amazing potting it was not to be. Elliot for the West Devon pounced on the pink and black and the game was all over to make it 4-1.

It was a spirited team performance and well deserved fourth win on the trot from West Devon C against a well under par Conservative Z team.
