Heather Fell, Olympic modern pentathlete silver medalist, writes about her life 'on and off' the track.

AFTER such a sport crazy few weeks I am taking a week out and going on holiday. I might not have been competing much myself and it probably sounds like my life is one constant holiday but I am looking forward to being in one place for a whole week - and this only seems to happen when I'm abroad.

The difficult part for me is the packing, I can never decide what shoes to pack, how many bikinis, what goes with what and the funny thing is I'm only going camping.

This summer might appear to be all about the Olympics but it also seems to be wedding season for so many of my friends. Last weekend was just the build up to another big day, the modern tradition of a 'hen do'. Over the last couple of years I have attended quite a few but never have I taken part in this specific activity before. I certainly did not know what to expect when informed we were to be spending the afternoon doing a 'life drawing'. The drawing part of it certainly had me concerned, as art was the first subject to be dropped at school, however I shouldn't have worried especially when our first task was to use our non-dominant hand. The 'art class' as I'm going to call it was extremely relaxed and even involved the 'model' pouring our champagne. It turned into a fun afternoon and certainly one to be remembered although the photos from this 'hen do' won't be posted on any of our social networks pages.
